Endings Guide
Light spoilers. This page groups all 16 endings of Home Is Where He Is by the kind of run they belong to. Hover any ending name on the home page tracker to mark it unlocked.
Trust (Cooperate with him)
- The Sweater Stays On
- You Stay For Breakfast
- The Door Opens
- The Lamp Stays On
These endings reward a calm, accepting tone. You let the apartment settle around you, even when his smile makes the routine feel rehearsed.
Resist (Push back)
- The Door Stays Closed
- Ask Twice
- Leave Without Looking
These endings reward an instinct to question, refuse, or walk away. They cost warmth, but they are the cleanest exits the game gives you.
Forget (Erase / let go)
- The Mirror Wiped Clean
- A Quiet Goodbye
- The Name You Forgot
You choose to wipe the mark, accept the goodbye, or stop asking whose name this is. These endings lean melancholic - the apartment lets you leave, but it does not forget you.
Remember (Keep the mark)
- The Heart Remains
- The Name You Remembered
You keep his mark on the mirror. You keep the name. The apartment remembers you for a different reason than the Forget-tier - and so does he.
Glitch (The Supermarket sequence)
- You Walk Into The Aisle
- You Watch Back
Mid-game the apartment cuts to a supermarket scene rendered in halftone. How you respond to the watching eyes inside the aisles decides which glitch ending you reach.
Loop (Recursive endings)
- You Never Left
This tier is unusual. The game treats you as if the apartment was always where you lived - and him as the visitor.
Ending (Final-tier route)
- The Sweater Stays Empty
The single highest-route ending. You must combine several specific earlier choices to unlock it.
